Electralign
Electralign is...
A computer guided construction layout interface, which allows users to translate building information modeling (BIM) data on site, in real time, to scale, with digital precision.
Non-rectilinear building components require custom construction elements, complex joint details and exhaustive human labor, accounting for as much as 50% or more of the construction cost.
Electralign has three main components, the Real Time Location System (RTLS) tag, an interactive display, and a slightly modified total station, which as a whole create a very intricate relationship between the BIM model, its digital precision and the reality of the construction site. High-tech construction sites already use some of these components today, and what makes this system successful is that we are building on top of technology that have already been proven to work. Our goal is to integrate existing technologies in order to make a more productive construction process.
Electralign translates the complexity of the BIM model and brings its digital precision to the construction site.
