Affordable housing project

a beacon of hope

Following two years of meticulous construction, a transformative $44-million affordable housing complex, spearheaded by a non-profit developer, now proudly graces the landscape of unincorporated East Los Angeles.

Emerging from what was once a vacant lot, this visionary project stands tall as a beacon of hope. It comprises a four-story architectural marvel housing 78 thoughtfully designed studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, all perched atop a convenient 39-car garage. A testament to inclusivity, half of these new residences are earmarked for chronically homeless and mentally ill individuals, while the remainder serves as essential affordable housing for the wider community.

But this development isn't merely about shelter; it's about fostering a thriving community. In addition to the residential units, the complex boasts an array of amenities, including a welcoming community center, a vibrant playground, a serene rooftop garden, a bustling public plaza, a cozy pocket park, and a tranquil interior courtyard. These spaces provide the backdrop for a multitude of enriching activities and interactions.

Partnering with the esteemed Hope through Housing Foundation and PATH, the project goes beyond brick and mortar, offering vital after-school programs, invaluable financial coaching, and a myriad of supportive services to its residents, ensuring holistic well-being and empowerment.
